Gemma here is a babe from the Netflix series Heartbreak High, Australia's goofier and somehow even more woke answer to Euphoria. She plays a bitchy, preachy, lesbian feminist, which is why she's my favourite. Good show if you like teen dramas.
Important cultural commentary - a 'deb' is Australia's weirdly conservative equivalent to prom. You'll know them as debutante balls, but here they're organized by the girls themselves. They're also done entirely to dance and party, so they're a lot closer to proms than the wealthy bible belt kind.
